From the 1860s until 1913 when the train came through to the Manning Valley, all goods came and went by ship through the Manning River.
The Manning River is returning to its former glory after many years of being unable to sustain its health and has begun to recover.
Tinonee is a small picturesque historical village, situated on the banks of the Manning River a short distance from Taree.
When dragon boats return to the beautiful Manning River on Sunday 15 March they’ll be bringing a sport steeped in rich sporting and cultural traditions.
