Skirmish Down Under

Skirmish Down Under  is a progressive and innovative paintball operation with an exciting new facility in Port Macquarie. They ensure players have the best possible experience with a focus on fun!

Their perfect safety record is testament to the guidelines and procedures in place to provide a safe days entertainment. The fields are well researched and developed providing our patrons with a variety of game scenarios.

Skirmish Down Under use only the best possible equipment and paintballs available. Each player is issued with a Tippmann Custom 98 semi automatic marker, V Force head protection system and camoflague coveralls. Gloves, neck protectors and hats are offered as an option. Ladies are also offered chest and back protectors. The staff are experienced, helpful and personnable.

The best thing about Skirmish is that the gun has the power, not the player. Size or strength of a player has no bearing on their ability to compete. It’s a more mentally challenging game than it is physical. Skirmish Down Under have had many players over the years well into their 80s. Women compete equally with men – and young with old.

Skirmish Down Under also has Laser Tag for the little ones played on the same fields as paintball, but obviously with no impact to the player when hit.

The paintballs consists of a vegetable oil fill with a thin gelatin skin. When the ball hits its target, the skin breaks, leaving a PAINT mark. The player with the paint mark has been tagged and is out of the game; or, as often is the case, serves some kind of penalty and rejoins the game from their base. The paintball is propelled from a paintball marker, which is powered by CO2, at up to 300 feet per second. At 300 fps the paintball is accurate to around 40 metres.

For players who wish to take the sport to the next level, there is a competition which is played at full speed. Skirmish is also a great team building excerise for corporate days that develops individual’s self-esteem, responsibility, leadership and teamwork.
